Biography

Dr. Dimitrios Salampasis is a Lecturer of Entrepreneur ship and Innovation at the Swinburne Business School,  Swinburne University of Technology and a Visiting Resear ch Associate at the INESC TEC/Center for  Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Porto, Port ugal. Dimitrios has more than 12 years of  international professional working experience in the privat e, public and NGO sectors having served in different  functions and corporate levels.   Dimitrios has published in international peer-reviewed academi c journals, books and his work has been  presented in major international conferences and invited l ectures around the world. His research interests  revolve around the organisational, human, technological  and societal sides of innovation in financial services  and FinTech innovation, focusing on r obo  advisors and wealth management, open banking ,  Blockchain and  ESG/Impact investing and regulatory sandboxes. Dimitrios has  also been involved in advisory activities on  emerging market investing assisting companies in developing lo ng-term strategic focus and sustainable market  business strategies.  Dimitrios is a youth entrepreneurship mentor and train er and has participated in numerous international  programmes, workshops and summits as a presenter, facilit ator and rapporteur

FinTech Innovation: Order, Reorder and Disorder: On the Trail to a New Financial Services Narrative

The aim of this presentation is to discuss the emerging collaboration narratives between Techs and Fins and share insights on the strategic aspects that arise. Moreover, this presentation will contribute to the topical discussion on the role of customer centricity within the FinTech landscape and the role of cognition and affect-based trust in relation to FinTech offerings adoption. Furthermore, this presentation will discuss the dark side of business modelling and how FinTech entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship open new pathways for venturing, experimentation, scale and internationalization. Finally, ideas and thoughts on the fusion between human and machine towards hybrid FinTech innovations will be shared towards a visionary approach of a new era within the financial services industry.
